Book Clubs

The Ink Drinkers offers many different book clubs for you to choose from. Feel free to join as many as you’d like! It’s entirely up to you. More information about each is found down below. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and contact us.

NOTE: The horror book club will be taking a hiatus until further notice. The general fiction is open, no registration required, but the big book reading groups and the dinner reading groups are sign ups only. For information on the dinner reading groups click here.

General Fiction

This is the original club that started back in 2023. We read literally anything fiction from the classics, to gothic/horror, to contemporary literature. We meet on the last Wednesday and Saturday of every month at 5pm. You can pick whichever day works better for you! Same book, different day.

There is no registration required, and other than the cost of the book if you need one, it’s free to join!

PLEASE NOTE!!! While there is no registration required, the Saturday group fills up quickly. Please arrive on time to secure a spot as space is not guaranteed.

Next meetings:

Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller
Wednesday, June 24th at 7pm
Saturday, June 27th at 5pm

You Dreamed of Empires by Álvaro Enrigue

Wednesday, July 29th at 7pm

Special Event!!! Ink Drinkers go on a field trip!
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky
Sunday, September 27th at 7pm
WHERE: Mikkeller Bar Zurich, Zweierstrasse 124, 8003
This event is sign up only. If you'd like to come, please send me an email here.

Big Book Reading Group

This book club tackles the Big Ones: books that are 500 pages or longer (the longer the better). They can be a bit intimidating, so we break them up and take our time, usually over 2-3 months. Because this is a small group, spots are limited. If you are interested in joining, please send an email or DM the shop on Instagram to secure your spot.

Note: The Big Book Reading Group 2026 is full.
