The Big Book Reading Group: What is it?
We love big books and we cannot lie. But sometimes they can seem a bit intimidating, or you just never feel like you have the time. I started this group as a way to tackle those behemoths and crack those spines (yes, I’m a spine cracker).
In this group, we look at books 500 pages or longer, and we break them down into smaller parts. We take our time with the story, usually meeting over a couple of months, depending on the length of the book. And the best part? We meet for Sunday Brunch at 11am at the bookshop. Mimosas, scones, cake, cheese, croissants… coffee… Yeah. It’s pretty fun.
This group requires registration beforehand and as it fills up quickly, I recommend saving a spot if you know you want to/ can join. To make scheduling easier, I’ve listed the upcoming choices and tentative dates for meetings.
See you there and Happy Reading!
