Become a Book Dragon…
Did you know… a group of dragons is traditionally called a thunder?
There are a few things I believe in when it comes to books and reading:
One, the book you need will always find you. It could be that you’re getting interested in a particular genre, topic, historical era, hobby, person, band, whatever. And then suddenly, it’s everywhere. You stumble across a book in a shop you didn’t mean to go into. Or it’s on a display as you walk by another place you’ve never seen before. I can’t explain it. It’s magic.
Two, you read the books you’re supposed to, when you’re supposed to. We’ve all had that book we pick up 2 or 3x and think nah. This isn’t it. And then one day, you can’t think of a single thing to read and there it is. It’s been waiting for you the whole time.
And third, and what this page is all about, is that everyone deserves to find that book.
So, I’m gathering The Book Dragons. I am looking for volunteers to help me begin a stealthy campaign of leaving little gifts all around the city.
Every month, we will leave mystery books (wrapped in whimsical wrapping paper, of course) in special hiding places in and around Zurich (or wherever you live & travel). I believe that reading should be accessible, and that the magic of books should be shared.
It will be low commitment, you put into it what you want.
We will be a small group of dragons, leaving bundles of magic in the most unlikely places.
