I am a bookseller. That’s a fact. But first and foremost, I am a book lover. I believe every book deserves a home where it can be loved and appreciated.
I also believe reading should be accessible and sustainable.
What if you could find a new home for one of your books? Maybe it’s a book you’ve read that you loved and you want to pass it on. Maybe you weren’t sure how you felt about it. Maybe you read it years ago and it’s just time to say good bye. Maybe you have an inkling that someone else out there needs it. It’s a feeling we can’t always explain, but we understand.
The “Pass It On” book swap is an opportunity for you to pass on a book you no longer need. You will be giving it away to a stranger, or a friend, or to a stranger who becomes a friend. And in return, you will be receiving a piece of someone’s library in return.
It’s a bookclub that is centred around the act of giving and receiving.
How it works:
Once you pick your book, write a short, simple message either in the book itself or on a piece of paper, about why you chose this book.
Wrap it.
You will then exchange gifts with one another. After you open them, you can let the conversation go where it may.
No reading required beforehand. Just showing up with a gift.
First come first served! Space is limited, so please arrive early to secure a spot.
20CHF at the door. Drinks and light snacks included.
