While it is nice to cozy up on your couch with your favourite blanket and a cup of tea to snatch an hour of reading, we as bookworms do need to force ourselves outside every now and then.
This year, weather permitting, we will meet for an outdoor reading party at the Sihlfeld Crematorium here in Zurich.
How it works: We will not meet anywhere beforehand. You can simply arrive at the cemetery whenever you’d like and grab a quiet spot to read. We will meet in front of the gates at 6pm, to then head back to Pile of Books to have a warm, cozy chat about whatever it was you were reading. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
You can decide for how long you’d like to read , just be prepared to be at the front gates by 6pm.
While it is a Victorian reading party, you can absolutely bring whatever you’d like to read. Or bring an audiobook and take a stroll through the cemetery grounds. The time is for you.
*** If it rains ***
If it rains, we will meet at Pile of Books at 5pm for a quiet reading session there, followed by refreshments & a chat.
We will wrap up around 8pm.
This event is free.
So we don’t overrun the cemetery, this event will be sign up only. If you’d like to join, please send me an email here.
